Can't take my eyes off you

Can't take my eyes off you

*****

*****(read it with the music in your heart! :D)*****

You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

Pardon the way that I stare.
There's nothing else to compare.
The sight of you leaves me weak.
There are no words left to speak,
But if you feel like I feel,
Please let me know that it's real.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

I love you, baby,
And if it's quite alright,
I need you, baby,
To warm a lonely night.
I love you, baby.
Trust in me when I say:
Oh, pretty baby,
Don't bring me down, I pray.
Oh, pretty baby, now that I found you, stay
And let me love you, baby.
Let me love you.

You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.
You'd be like Heaven to touch.
I wanna hold you so much.
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive.
You're just too good to be true.
Can't take my eyes off you.

Guideline Note:

If you are travelling from Kota Kinabalu to the south-east interior part of Sabah, you will 1st come across a beautiful valley of Tambunan district (about 1.5 hours from Kota Kinabalu). And the 1st village to welcome you will be Kg. Sunsuron(soon.soo.ron) which is noticeable from uphill highway 10-15 minutes away from the village.

Note that before reaching Sunsuron you will find a row of local market (on the left-side), which is among a favourite stop-to-buy area. At the market, villagers are selling all kind of local produce from varieties of fresh veggies, fruits, preserved food (bosou, tuhau and bambangan), handy crafts and etc.

Just like other villages in Tambunan, most of the villagers are paddy farmers. The rolling greens of fields on the valley is actually the rice fields which is about 3-4 months old. Harvesting probably on early to middle December.

From Tambunan, the highway will leads you to Keningau, Tenom, Nabawan and Pensiangan, and all of them are beautiful places to discover!

P/S: If your are keen, I'll tell you a secret.. one of the best way to discover Tambunan...
is by giving me a call :D

Can't make love without Internet??

Last nite I can't sleep, well actually I have Insomnia since I started to think rapidly at night. But last nite was terrible.. because I CAN'T connect to the internet!!!

I don't know, maybe it's my modem or my line problem. I ever complaint about it to Telekom (as it frequently happened) but whatever they do and they say (if any).... it always come back to square one. zzzzz

This is really de-motivating disheartening.

..ohh they also told me that my area 'mimang tidak bagus punya tempat, slalu ada masalah line..' ^.^

At first I don't buy it, but been facing the issues again and again for almost 2 years now, I began to believe it O.O '..yah, tempat sya mimang tidak bagus line tu..' -.-

Anybody else living in Taman Kepayan Phase 2 or adjacent? Do you have the same issues? difficulty or unable to connect to the internet or even if connected the line keeps on dropping every 2-3 minutes (very unstable).. /sigh

/flash back..

zzzz now without internet, life is like.. uhh incomplete. Walhal dulu-dulu teda internet tapi ok juga kan? but, dulu lain sekarang lain bah.. ermm betul juga kan.. ^.^

I believe many of us are now pretty dependent to the internet. Beside the main surfing, downloading and communicating now socialising via internet, we are also paying electric bills-loan-c.card due-etc via the net.

We can also shop (and it's quite special when you shop online - you'll receive things in a box, it has the element of surprise :)), we can also transfer money, pay road tax, find potential lovers or part time lovers or no love but suka-suka seja *.0, and etc etc..

For many the internet is literally part of life and it feels terrible not to be able to get connected when you really want it, agree?

I know pretty numbers of people who doesn't have internet facility in their home but they are so up-to-date with their 'net life'. Most of them are the youngsters and small numbers of adult. They are what I term as 'Cyber bugs'.

Just like the normal natural bug, these evolved cyber bugs will also search for the 'flowers and fruits' and when they come around they bring many aromas.. some of them have acceptable smells and others with pretty weird smells.. few are totally unacceptable!! they make other cyber bugs fly away... (I have had a cybercafe, so I know what its like "-.-)

They have similarity with us (home/office internet user), their life is incomplete without going to the cybercafe at least once a day. I mean.. Really! they are like 'high on internet-drug'.

Well I mean most of the youngsters cyber user and not ALL cyber user. Fact is thousands of people interneting from cybercafe for various reason but they are not like the 'cyber bug' as I claimed.

I too patronize the cyber sometime when I have no other choice to go online. However, I try to avoid doing business from cyber as mush as possible. There is this insecure feeling when using public PC, even in the office.

A friend of mine recently send me an alert about using public or office PC. He claims that there are devices that were planted in those PC which will records everything you do and type on the particular PC. He send me this photo as one of those device. You tell me, is this TRUE?? I thought it was just an adapter for mouse or keyboard?

Besides I think there are endless spying/recording software out there that can be abused to collect personal information from internet users. The I.T technology is so vast and the probability of what it will be in future is infinity. One way or another there will be some tech-geeks producing another super uber bot, spyware, hackerware, invisible crawlers, viruses etc etc.

Thus, I think nobody is really internet safe.

But I'm a small time lecturer. Ain't got any particulars interesting enuff for others to desperately to know.... rite? Well, I have a pretty wife.. but that just about it lah.. so I think I should be fine.

erm.. do you think my Boss is desperate to know what I'm doing with my PC in the office? especially when I starred unanimously blinkless to the screen with my half-smiled :P

He might have plant something to check his staff right.. then he'd probably be reading this too "-.-

Alright then, I better go back to work now! :P

Ohh, sorry about the title.. its...... I don't know what to do with it *.*

bah, Peace!

Unborn baby grabs surgeon!

*extracted from my email* Thanks to the person who send it to me.

A picture began circulating in November. It should be 'The Picture of the Year,' or perhaps, 'Picture of the Decade.' It won't be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the US paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it. The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samue l Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner.

The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's mother, Julie Armas, is an obstetrics nurse in Atlanta . She knew of Dr. Bruner's remarkable surgical procedure. Practicing at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville , he performs these special operations while the baby is still in the womb.

During the procedure, the doctor removes the uterus via C-section and makes a small incision to operate on the baby. As Dr.Bruner completed the surgery on Samuel, the little guy reached his tiny, but fully developed hand through the incision n and firmly grasped the surgeon's finger. DrBruner was reported as saying that when his finger was grasped, it was the most emotional moment of his life, and that for an instant during the procedure he was just frozen, totally immobile.

The photograph captures this amazing event with perfect clarity. The editors titled the picture, 'Hand of Hope.' The text explaining the picture begins, 'The tiny hand of 21-week- old fetus Samuel Alexander Armas emerges from the mother's uterus to grasp the finger of Dr. Joseph Bruner as if thanking the doctor for the gift of life.'

Little Samuel's mother said they 'wept for days' when they saw the picture. She said, 'The photo reminds us pregnancy isn't about disability or an illness, it's about a little person.'Samuel was born in perfect health, the operation 100 percent successful.

Now see the actual picture, and it is awesome...incredible.... The world needs to see this one!

Farmer's Memories

Memories of yesterday
keeps calling me...

the smell of soil and dirt
fresh breezes of rice fields
neighbours and friends
working day by day

field wets and dried
rolling greens and gold
planting and harvesting
the season pass and begin

on the land of God
doves fly above
crickets shovels for life
fishes cherish the farmers

when the children cry
the elders smile
when all work done
we cherish with everyone

life was simple
life was great
life is short
memories are forever

I'm newbie on blog world

Into the 3rd weeks of 'blogging worlds'.. I find my new activity quite interesting!! learning many things on technical, related I.T skills, gaining varieties of knowledge and information and especially seeing few cents dropped into my google acc (paypal acc. is still '0' :D), although at the moment it's damn too low to mention :P

Anyhow, I juts want to share some things and resources I bumped into while searching for clues and help from the net on blogging world.. (can anyone vouch that 'blogging world' is the right term to use? :O)

All these infos are in 'newbies' level, so I hope you guys understand :D.

Alrite, lets begin with.

No. 1 : http://bloggertricks.com/ Blogger Tricks
This site provides a simple step-by-step instruction with screen shot on some interesting basics such as:
How to add adsense ads inside Blogger blog posts or between blog posts.
adding clickable pictures on blogger sidebars, blog posts, etc.
how to add a PAYPAL DONATE button to your blogger(blogsot) blog.
how to add Different Meta tags to Different Blogger Posts
how to apply new templates
how to disable right click in blogger(blogspot) or any webpag
how to add "Email Subscription Form" to your blog(blogger, blogspot)
FREE WAYS TO DOUBLE YOUR BLOG TRAFFIC IN LESS THAN A WEEK
and many more..

No. 2 : http://mltan100.blogspot.com and http://www.blogspottutorial.com
For those who love smiley, these site provides steps on how to add emoticon on blogger's blog either using html or tab. I prefer the traditional ':P' - to me it's more 'original' :D

No 3. http://tips-for-new-bloggers.blogspot.com <---highly recommended! By far, I found this site as the one with MOST INFORMATION for blogger's newbie. Similar to bloggertricks.com, this site also provide a details easy to follow step-by-step process.

Among the interesting articles are:
how to add Favicon icon to Blogger URL
how to add Music to Blogspot blog
And lots more i.e SEO tools, best recommended widgets, editing templates, adsense optimize, faster webpage timeload and etc. I highly recommend this site for newbies reference.

And if you ever wonder what is the BEST BLOGS for blogging in the universe, you may like to check on this site . The ranking was pretty outdated by now (maybe), but I believe those guys are still there and kicking! even better. I visits all the site listed to get more ideas and motivation to cont. blogging. BTW, you can also find out on the top blogs on SEO, web design and Celebrities! from the same site.

From one of the top blogs, I found a very good and useful ebook especially for newbies. This ebook will tell you the different from 'wannabe internet gurus' and the 'real-life example of Internet Guru', its worth readings with lots of tips and it's tottally FREE (unlike the many free report then advised to buy this and that-- familiar? :P) Sign-up and get it in your box.

And ohh! This is the reason why I started to blog now :D. Some ideas from the person might be 'different' with others opinion, but he is also making a great income form blogging.

local reference? Yes ,I got at least one.. If you are Sabahan, this site is a must read and subscribed. Gaman is among my great friends and he is a very successful Internet marketers. Very polite and kind, handsome, rich and (if not mistaken) still single too :P - sorry bro. I'll remove this if it offend.

My conclusion:
It's true that just by googling for 'blogs tips' in google will bring enormous results. Literally one can learn almost everything needed to know on blogging from Internet research alone.

However, there's also a danger of having vast Internet communities. The advantages of internet communities is also it's own disadvantages - that is it's soooooo HUGE!. Getting endless source of information might be good but there's a price to pay for over-information.

I find my self a bit over information most of the time earlier (now I'm in-control of the information flowing to me :D). Too much of information will make newbies paralyse or sluggish. I don't want to end up reading and reading and reading but no action at all ^.^

Hence, I think participating in 3-4 communities such as forums and blog community and getting the most out of it, is much more effective. That's my friend's advice and I'm doing that now... trying to find the right 'clicks' where I should belongs to.

well anyway, I certainly hope that the little suggestions above will be helpful to newbies like me.. I would also really appreciate suggestion and recommendation from seniors. I'm learning bah.

Cheers! for Monday!!!sengihnampakgigi

Decent Financial Planning / Management

Hurmm..... looking at the title above, I think most of my friend would be thinking "is he up to this??" ..and perhaps you might wonder as well.

Well, okay.. if you would ask me about it, I would say... yes! Yes, if you are still not having any successful Financial Planning yet or if you are still wandering every month 'where did all my money go ahh?' or if you still within the communities bracket who likes to utter 'biasalah, ujung bulan kan... mana ada usin...' and definitely YES if you are not up to my peers.

^.^ well, I'm not that good to be really fully satisfied with, but I believe at least I'm above the average..

One thing for sure is that I'm not an expert in this field and not even close! but hey, do you really have to be an accountant to be able to handle your money properly? or do we have to master major in economics to be able to understand that the world is truly facing the greatest financial and economical crisis ever and no country will be able to fly above it as if it was Christmas or just Halloween ~ yada! yada!

Naaa.. I'm not an expert! so if you stumbled here accidentally while looking for the best expert advices and super tips and best-secrets regarding finance, well sorry friend, I'm not the man, you may leave and peace alrite.

On the other hand if you belong to some categories I mentioned earlier in my 1st para, then I love to invite you to continue reading, and as well as if you are my friends or want to be my friends or you have a 'feel' ^.^ while reading my title, then by all means please continue reading. I'm not promising anything yada yada rah rah here, but suffice for me to say that "I think I have a nice simple Financial Planning formula' that if I have a friend in need I would definitely share about it.

Alright, here goes.. if you really want to go ahead on this, please relax and have a coffee or snack or anything to relax you, because this one is pretty long and plain narrative :D.

Basically everyone or most people love to spend their money wisely (I say most as I know few persons who doesn't give a damm about where their money goes). For the majority who want to spend their money wisely and if you are one of them, most probably you would have at least a basic formula / method that you use when managing your money. I'm talking about things like a simple book keeping or a any similar financial documentation format (normally using Excel) you use to produce your budget and keep track on all your pennies. If you don't even have this, you are in BIG trouble! you should trust me on that.

Seriously, if you really haven't got any sort of financial practices, I suggest you to go grab one of the best selling book in Malaysia by Azizi - Millionaires are from different planet. He will make your butt uneasy on your soft sofa or cozy office furnitures. His book was my 1st and only mentor on financial planning and I found it when I was around 26/27 yrs old, pretty late actually (yeah, nobody advice me anything about finance before).

However, knowing the basic such as Income vs Outcome, debit - credit, expenses, saving, loan, etc.. and arranging those in a nice excel spreadsheet monthly won't help much. That is just basic, and basic is just that - a basic. I tot my financial will be okay once I applied those but I was wrong, month to month to year I still suffer some medium size 'financial turmoil' in my own small world.

Until ONE FINE DAY, I accidentally discovered my old book while doing some house cleaning (a book which I bought long time ago but never read about), wonders do work in life bah. Very seldom I will do house cleaning but I did it that day and I found a 'diamond'. I read it through and walllaaa! I was smiling to my self :D, it was like Hallelujah! feel as if 'I was born again - in financial spirit', if I can put it that way. It was touching actually as I felt strong confidence to be able to manage my income INTELLIGENTLY and I was right.

So what did the book says to me?

Among others the book says:

* that in order to be rich, I got to B R E A K the law. The Parkinson's Law which says "expenses will always meet income" in a more simple term, the more is our income the more is our expenses. Have any of you guys experience that?? got a little pay rise or some extra income and soon the expense raise immediately (as if it was on race) and end up with just able to-meet-month-end scenario.

* that even if all the wealth in the world are divided to all the people in the world, in no time all the wealth will be back to its original place, that is in the hand of the rich people. Because the rich people knows what to do with their money and the poor don't. As the famous hush goes 'rich will get richer, and the poor will get poorer'. Pernah dengar gini? it's very seldom we hear people complaint/blame to themselves but it's always the mistakes of others.

* that to be rich is NEVER dependent on the bank balance but always about being rich as a person. The secret to be a millionaire is to be a millionaire as a person, not by bank balance. Ever heard a person with lots of money but live miserably? just google it. Happen to most lottery or jackpot winner who end-up worst then before they won anything. (I got one living example - my own friend. He won almost 700K from 4d tickets and after just three months, his situation worsen, believe me.. I mean it really worst. It's pain in the #@* to look at).

*and the book says lots more good stuffs... but I think you want to know the most important of all and that's what I want to share too. It is the formula, and the formula is simply...

10-30-30-30

(if you are well inform about this then it's good, I hope you don't mind to put up a comment yah)

What's the explanation about this? very easy and well justified.

- 10 is 10% of your income must be used to help the needy. Some people call this tithing. The point is you must give back, give it back to the people. Some might consider a weekly donation (e.g donating in church on every Sunday) is good enough, but actually it's not. To give back means to really give the 10% to the one who really in need. It could be anybody, but best to start with the families then friends, communities and etc.

One VERY IMPORTANT condition here is that you must give it away freely, not as a loan or as a borrowing. If you are done that and later someone bump you for help, if you can't help just refuse it politely. If someone ask you for lending - NEVER, Never ever lend your 10%, just give it away.

- 30 is 30% of you income must be sufficient to cover all your monthly life expenses. Ini yang buat orang slalu terngaga besarrrr hohoho! nvm just relax... This includes your F&B, utilities, loan, what-so-ever but ALL your monthly expenses. When I 1st saw this I almost had a heart attack, there's no #@%*ing way for me to do that.. but actually there is a way, just read on.

- The next 30 is another 30% of your income must be used for SAVING and INVESTMENT. Repeated - SAVING and INVESTMENT ONLY! save in few ways at least, you name it ASB, Fixed D., Current Account, what ever ways but save it. And according to your preference, some portion of it must be used on investment and the best recommended investment by the book is to invest on your own self. Improvised your self, go for training, courses, read books, etc. you will invest in properties and etc once you reach the 'level', so invest in your self. If you are not sure what to invest, put the money in saving 1st. Invest it only when you are sure.

- The last 30 is the remaining 30% of your income and this is what I like the most and it is very important.. The last 30% must be used for nothing else but for your LEISURE! yeah, for FUN and ADVENTURE, that is for your enjoyment (of course for you and family if you have one). And it must be a quality leisure activity, a quality enjoyment which you really want to do and will be among your best experience.

It is in such portion because 'we must plan and act for the future while in the same time we must also enjoy our life today as much as we have invest and save for the future'. There's no use of saving all your money and die rich but never manage to use the richness to appreciate life. We must enjoy today for heaven knows if we still have tomorrow or not. It's all about balance. The point is to design a lifestyle that YOU LOVE TODAY and would LOVE TO HAVE in the future.

Now, what if your monthly expense exceed 30% of your income?? mine was actually overshoot more than 50%.. uhhh /pains! /pains!

Never mind if it exceeds. The formula 10:30:30:30 is actually the ideal situation. That is the target. However you must start to apply the formula immediately. Start with what ever is left. Say if your income balance after portioning for all your expenses, is only RM 10 left +.+ just divided the balance RM 10 to 10% for the needy, 50% for saving and investment and 50% for leisure i.e RM 1 : RM 4.5 : RM 4.5.

Vital is, the amount for saving and investment must equivalent with your fun and adventure at all time. What you save and invest for the future must equally spend to your enjoyment TODAY. For Today is a what we have and tomorrow is guaranteed to no one.

This what the book call as 'Fine-Tuning the Formula'. Adjust your financial to meet the formula until at the end hopefully you will reach the ideal 10:30:30:30. Adjustment you financial could also be a cost cutting of monthly expenses and getting more monthly income form extra work and other sources.

So that's it ladies and gentlemen! I have applied this formula and it works well 'so far' and it makes me smile and it makes me feel better.

One last tips though, if you want to incorporate your spouse income into the plan, make sure to have a good discussion with your partner. Both party must well understand and agreed. There must be a harmony in the family in applying it, after all that is what financial planing is meant for.

Now you know it and next big challenge is to really put it into practice. Formula is again just a formula. 100 books is just 100 books rite. To obtain the results, action must be in motion.

Okay, tell me what do you think about this. Would you give it a try? or if not, perhaps you have a better suggestion? would you please share your thoughts with me. I would really love to hear others say on this.

Thank you.

"Learn mistakes form others, we can't live long enuff to do it all by ourselves"

Such a strong and essential tips especially to those whose life had just 'begun'. Many people says that - man's life begins at 30.. some says 40.. some says 50. so I think as soon as the person reach maturity as a person (attitude & thinking) not by age - he/she should be handling his/her life with extra careful - after all life is so fragile - we can't be 'too careful'. To make sure we can handle our things and life much much better - we need to learn more lesson from everyday life.

Few months back I went to the cemetery in my kampung to pay a short visits to my father's grave - then I went around to see some other new graves I noticed. There were numbers of names on the grave that shocks me - they were my friends whom I still feel their presences and I can still picture their smiles and jokes, but they are actually 'no longer existed' . Then I recalled most of them (if not all) died of accidents and health problems (cancers). My father passed away due to cancer too - colon cancer. Life is so fragile - I learned lessons from their life story.

What attracted me to blog about this title isn't really because of that went-to-the-grave experience, but it was somehow related in a bigger picture. Actually I want to make a topic that everyone can share their 'mistakes' so that everyone can learn and get improvised generally.

If the word 'mistakes' sounds too bad or the experience is just too embarrassing to be shared - try to just produce the 'lesson learned' or the 'tips' so that others (or at least myself) would gain the benefit. I think people will appreciates that a lot. After all that's what the wise says;

"learn mistakes form others, we can't live long enuff to do it all by ourselves".

and furthemore;

"Lessons are repeated until it's learned"

I just hope that any sharing here are originals - it is easy to find nice "I've learned this and that's... copy pasted from the net.." (that is welcome too but please re-word it :P), but original stories / tips would be most welcome.

I'll kick off sharing (all sharing from comments will be incorporated in this post bearing your tag. & will be updated regularly)

Lesson 1 (By DA)
(Happened to me a while ago) When you planed to re-finance your car or to buy your spouse car (ini biasa orang laki-bini buat untuk dapatkan extra cash). Do it 1 month or few weeks before expiry dates of the car's road-tax. This is true specially when dealing with family car where the main point is just to get some cash n not to really sell away the car. By this you will be able to save from paying extra cash for the insurance purposes, because a new car owners MUST buy a new different insurance. Jadi jangan kena double payment for insurance. In my case I have just renew my road-tax last months and this week I plan to re-finance my car - akhirnya I have to pay a new insurance coverage again (walhal baru last month sia renew road-tax and insurance - bengong). So avoid it.

Some extra consideration - if that car has some 'bruises' and 'scars' here and there, just sent your car to 'accident' and then send for touch-up or fix anything broken/not functioning, UNDER insurance coverage (mcmana mo buat tu pandai-pandailah :P). You are actually optimizing your insurance. Because once change ownership, the car will have a new insurance and you will have to pay the premium without any discount. So when you plan to re-finance a car, make sure you really re-NEW the car :D.

Lesson 2 (By DA - added on 7 Nov 08)
I remember my only digital camera................ which is now R.I.P :(
It happen after I sent it to the Service Center for minor fix, but instead of repairing it 'they make it a major blow!' It was my only Sony Cybershot. I send to Sony service center in Damai, they sent it to K.L, and when it back to Sabah, it's dead!. I query and complaint - they sent it back to K.L, and later K.L told me to pay RM 600 to fix it.. zzzzzzz they blow it (and they don't want to admit it) and now I have to pay for it.. waaa =/

Since I can't afford it (sebab kalau RM 600, bagus lagi beli baru..), they don't want to fix it! At the end I lost the cam. Wherever I go now, I only have my eyes to capture the images... sob sob sob.. /sigh

Becareful when sending your things (especially electronics) for fix, make sure you show to the counter 'what really working and what not'. Sometimes they might end screw-up and don't want to admit it. Better still bring along a witness and let him/her sign any documents as well. Kalau mau lagi bagus, kamu bergambar-gambar lagilah sana dalam tu center for more proof :P.

Haiya I seriously need a digi cam now....

My Film review : Lust and Caution N-17 rating!

*************************************************************************************
DRAMA/THRILLER
United States/China, 2007
Running Length: 2:37
MPAA Classification: NC-17 (Explicit sex, nudity, violence)

Cast: Tang Wei, Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Joan Chen, Wang Lee-Hom
Director: Ang Lee
Screenplay: James Schamus, Wang Hui-Ling, based on the story by Eileen Chang
*************************************************************************************

Last night (8th Nov 08) I watched Lust and Caution after successfully downloading it for 3 days non-stop. The film is banned in many countries including China and Malaysia hence downloading it via torrent is the only possible way (btw, I use bitChe and bit torrent for my movie/film download).

I downloaded the film after reading the review about it. Some give 3 stars some reach 4.5 stars ^.^

I consider my self as a big movie/film fan. In fact my dream initially was to become a movie producer (but apakan daya, keluarga nda merestui.. ). I can watch 6 movies in a row simultaneously-no-rest, but of course must be a good movie lah, and I'm open to all genre. Genre is not important to me. I value the storyline and how well the actor and actresses play their roles. However, I truly love movies and films that can give a strong impact to its audiences, where not only the message crossed to them but the exact feeling and the total different 'world' portrayed in the movie are felt and creates temporarily to long lasting behavioral changes to the audiences. I'm talking about movies like The Godfather, Exorcist I & II, The train, Schindler's List, It's a Beautiful Life, Antara Dua Darjat and etc., just to name a few. I'm a collector of controversial movies too, got plenty of that must-have collection ^.^

Anyway, lets back to Lust and Caution. I think the story line was very dramatic and intense. After watching it, I was very satisfied with the quality and equally very disturbed and (little) depressed as it ends. The Director, Ang Lee have proven again his ability to plant the desired impact to the audience effectively. I am equally stunned with the daring actor, lead by Hong Kong heart throb Tony Leung and the impressive lead actress a new comer named Tang Wei. Tony Leung is of course an experienced actor but I didn't quite expect that Tony will be that 'explicit in details'. It was their gruesome+acrobatically+long intense love making scene that makes China and many countries.. decided to banned the movie (beside the assassination plot in the story line).

I think the intense explicit scene was necessary to provide significant weight of the 'sacrifices' endured by the lead actress. How bad it is to allow someone that you really hate-to-the-extreme, to 'enjoy' your body as his likes, and pretend that you really want it too. If she play as a hooker roles it will be totally difference and much easily to be accepted. But, we are looking at a decent girl who have easily and honestly sacrificed her 'womanhood' physically and mentally - again and again and again (I actually thought that she really 'sacrificed it' in her real life for this debut movie :P).

What really 'moved my heart' was that - after all the sacrifices she delivered, at the end she is the one who failed the whole assassination plot on the very last second. (I was thinking.. this is it, and suddenly..... auch!). It puts you in a 'stress painful disappointment but to no choice' situation.

Later, I got a little carried away by it and had a difficult sleep.. and that's my hint for a very good movie/film. For that I would recommend it to all (just remember it's a N-17 rating, so certainly not for youngsters and children and might not suit those 'traditional conservative' minds too :P.

Ok, that's my personal review on the film. Actually I feel a bit funny too, prior to this I watched Tropic Thunder and Bangkok Dangerous (after a strong recommendation from my friends), to me it was okay lah.. sorry folk but I was quite disappointed with TT and BD :P.

Till then guys. Cheers!!

The Dusun Aroma - Kids!!!

:D
Kids and 'kid's times' is one of the precious things in life - but often taken for granted. I remember when I was a little kid, I always want to grow up fast. I'm curios about the 'things that the elders do' and I want to do it. But now I'm 32 (tua butul kah nie? inda juga bah kan .. :) wish I can be kids again, especially when I browse through my nieces and nephews pictures. It looks so awesome! no problems and everything is fun including crying :D. So for these 'round' and perhaps for the next few rounds, I like to dedicate it to all the kids, parents with kids and those who miss those days.

Btw, I'm in no means to portray that getting older is not a nice things. We are growing and we should be enjoying that (especially to ladies :P) - but least not forget to make full use of our kids' time. For those with kids, have a quality time with them, the moment will come too soon that kids are no longer kids, no matter what.

Alrite, lets roll!

1. On the foreground from left to right - Nun, Bibie, meimei and lady. All the kids now are in their 20s.

********
2. Among my favorite! it was taken during a family picnic at Tikolod, Tambunan. From left - right Ciddy, Bonnie, Roy, Meimei, Lady and Rudy who was looking to his left water-shooting someone else. Family picnic was always our weekend agenda.

********
3. Hehehe they will be mad at me if they find this. It was Christmas in 1996 or 1997, and as a new varieties to the yearly celebration - family organize a little competition. The girls compete for beauty Queen and the boys compete for Ratu Pondan - what else :P.
From right to left Junior (the winner), Roy, Bonnie and N'Rule. All of them are now in their diploma and degree studies. Mother is seen on the far left, can't help but laughing. Oh boys..

********
4. Another interesting shots of children with some elders :D. Another family trip to Tikolod Tambunan. Tikolod then was our favourite spot for picnic as the river's formation is more safer and most of the time it is clear. However, in this pic. the water looks brackish - perhaps it rains heavily a day before. From left - right Liza with Ciddy, Aaron, (2 boys cannot be identified - blocked), Bedah (lady with black-whit stripe shirt), Dear (kids with black shirt), Roy, (another un-identified boy and girl, Rose (girl on red shirt), Aymon, Marryane or Bibie (not sure :P), and **** (I don't know remember her name :P), and last one Darlene or Nora (they look similar *.*). On the background most probably my bro. Idus with daughter tubing.

********
5. Last photo for this post. Lots of smiley faces of the kids with styles. They don't do all those funky moves now even if you beg them. From left - right Nun was looking at Rudy (shouting), Bonnie while giving 'peace', Dear (blue shirt) smiling handsomely, N'rule with innocent smile, Junior (red shirt), Roy also giving 'peace' sign, Meimei looking seriously, Bibie smiling and giving another peace and last one Lady (in red).

That's all for now.
Cheers folks!

The Dusun Aroma II

Here are some more photos form my old albums. All this photos are taken before digital camera age.

All Photos are copyrighted. Feel free to contact me if you want to use/reproduce any or part of the photos. Thank you.

1. This photo was taken during 'Kaamatan' Festival which means Harvest Festivals. Kaamatan is one of the grandest and oldest cultural and traditional celebration in Sabah (Malaysian Borneo).
In this photo was a simple Kaamatan at church level. Notice well the traditional costume worn by some in this photos. My wife is actually one of them.

The grandest of Kaamatan is the State level which is celebrated on 30 - 31st of May yearly. During the celebration 150-200K peoples stormed at Hongkod Koisaan in Penampang to witness and participate many events, competition, contest, food fiesta, singing and dancing etc. The main event will be the Beauty Queen contest. More history and information on Kaamatan can be found in the net.

2. 2nd photo is another shot of my mother harvesting the ground peanut. While ground peanut takes longer time to reap, the Dusun's usually will plant along different fast growing veggies and fruits such as cucumber, tomatoes, etc. and maize - as seen in the photos. The produce form the ground peanut trial planting was not bounty, hence the field was used to cultivate the normal paddy on the following years.

3. A very old photo (and comes in a very small size about 2 x 2 inch). I collected this photo from old family album. This is a photo of a wedding celebration (however, this is few days after the real wedding night celebrations. This is what the people use to term it as Second Round :P)
In the fore ground you can see at least 1 jar with bamboo straw and a person is sipping it. That is the famous local rice wine brewed by the Dusun. It is called Tapai. Notice as well the bamboo floor/wall. What a joyous day.

4. This is a picture of myself plucking and preparing the paddy seedlings before transferring it to the muddy paddy field. At the background is my sister in-law Emma. This process is carried out during early in the morning to avoid higher mortality rate of the seedlings.

5. Last but not least for this post. Authentic local barbecue of whole pig. This I must say was among the best barbecue I ever tested. It was for my farewell celebration before I took off to continue my study in UPM Selangor. Kids on the background are my nieces and nephews. I remember well the barbecue took about 5 hours to get done and the results was fantastic!. Soft juicy, no single hair or hair's root left on the skin. All fall off after a very long slow barbecuing process. Yummmy!!!!

That's all for now. Cheers!
